Best Stock Portfolio Trackers in 2024
I think there could be a third reason to explain why super investors are selling: maybe they are gathering cash, maybe they are buying bonds... maybe they are buying non-US stocks...
To be a successful business owner and investor, you have to be emotionally neutral to winning and losing. Winning and losing are just part of the game. Risk comes from not knowing what you are doing....
People dont understand that the prices of things are never going back down. This inflation is deeper than we think. Those buying groceries are well aware that the real inflation is much over 10%. The increments dont match our income, yet certain investors still earn over $365,000 in stocks and assets. Wish I could accomplish that.
Thank you for the video! You recently made a video on SBUX, and glad to see that super investors bought the stock prior to the recent drop. That is a good news if anyone wants to add SBUX to their portfolio. I find Charter surprising because it has a lot of debt. So many changes to Pabrai's portfolio is very surprising too. Also, some not so great news for many of us who pick individual stocks. Berkshire is doing better than S&P only in the last 3 years, but if you compare the performance over the long run Berkshire is either same as S&P or lagging it.
Cramer told his investor club to buy pypl at 225$ per share…never explained why his thesis changed just thats its a value trap
“Rich people acquire assets. The poor and middle class acquire liabilities that they think are assets.” - Robert Kiyosaki
I totally agree. I put $250k into stocks with my advisor, and now I've made over $4 million in profits. I used the profits to buy properties, and they're bringing in great income. It just shows how important it is to invest in things that grow over time. It's like I'm living out the lessons right from the start of his book- Guide to investing
Despite the ups and downs in the stock market, you've managed to turn your investments into good profits. Could you share the name of your advisor? I have $300k saved up and ready to invest, but as a beginner, I don't know my way around the market.
She is well known as - Chasity George Charles. please do your own research.
I am on the look out for experts and after doing my research online will say she meets my requirements, Thank you for sharing with us. I already sent her a mail hoping she can make out time in her busy schedule to assist me.
What are examples of liabilities that “they think are assets”?
I'm seriously taking a look to a geographical rotation, especially in south europe. Uk italy and spain needs attention, I think. Forex will lead the move, as always. Ps : terry smith as around 33% of his portfolio in euro. Peter seilern also has interesting ideas.
Love your work!
Thank you! That is very kind of you. 🙏
Nice video 👍
I'm glad you like it.
Still many undervalued stocks, REITs, BTI, BMY, energy, fertilizers.
@BaldInvestor love your videos.... Azul is a Brazilian airline not a software company. Thanks mate
So there are two companies with this name, but I checked and you are right the one Howard Marks owns is the airline. Sorry for the mistake and thanks for pointing it out. 👍
3:43 this is a great way to show the price changes in the last year for the superinvestor purchases
Eagle bulk is a debt to equity conversion, prior to merger with SBLK... At best this vid is a basic prompt to look at 13Fs, so not a complete waste of time
I dont want to be mean but this is not a nice way to show the changes. For instance, you give big percentage changes, but if you check the investor's portfolio then you see that the investments are a miniscule part of their portfolio. Showing only the percentage change makes it look like they bought big which was absolutely not the case. A great example is that of howard marks. Azul is 0,25% of his portfolio which is miniscule, but saying that he bought 15% more of the stock makes it look like a big buy which is just not the case. It would have been better to look at the investors biggest convictions since this says way more about a certain investor.
Yep I agree. Show us something like $FOUR. Dennis Hong bought 13% of his total portfolio this past quarter. High conviction.😊
Thank you for the feedback.
Agreed. Maybe show a screen of the DataRoma page. With Howard Marks particularly, we should be careful because his positions, oftentimes, are NOT long equity positions since he mainly trades high yield debt.
Thank you for an amazing video!
Thank you.
People love the brand. There’s no bigger name in coffee. They’re only expanding, a lot as 20k more stores opening within the next few years. The same stock move happened in 2022 and recovered, and of course this will be a learning experience. Howard shultz is still the biggest shareholder and wont let this fail
Great idea to analyse Stellantis! I have it in my portfolio. It's one of the best investments in the world at the moment.
See you next week. 😊

Workers and moving out of big cities. Office buildings have tons of vacancies. Not a good trend.
Very useful video. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful. Thank you.
You use conservative numbers and apply a 30% margin of safety. Your price targets are very unrealistic.
Then, he must have tripled down on Alibaba shares this month if this is his strategy.😉
One on the best stocks. Buy as much as you can. Buybacks, 10% dividends, low payout ratio.
Chipotle is up 38% for the year. I think the stock split is a good buy in period.
Love this channel. Thank you for all you do!
Thank you! That is great to hear. 🙏
Do not invest in not profitable companies apart from growth ones
Thank you for the video! Did you ever think of adding P/E and Forward P/E as part of the analysis in your videos? And also - what are the analysts' estimates of future earnings on the company?
Hi, I did use p/e ratio at the beginning of the channel, and made some calculations with it. Maybe one day I will come back to it. Considering TPL on Yahoo Finance there is only one analyst covering the stock.
Wow! TPL becomes more and more popular stock. Probably I need to buy a few more shares. Good look!
So happy that you made this video about TPL after a good time since the first video! Where did you buy the TPL stock certificate that is in your wall?
I found the graphic on the internet, and made a print copy on some nice paper. Thank you for watching 🙏
VERY GOOD 👍🏾
Thank you. 😊
@Baldinvestor like your shows and investment advice been learning from it. TPL is my largest holding and purchased it last year after listening to Murray Stahl and Horizon Kinetics talk about it all the time. One metric I used at the time incorrectly was 22 x FCF to value TPL and bought it around $1295/3= $431.67 so no too bad but incorrect way to value it. Right now I'm trying to use EV/EBITDA to figure out when a stock is cheap or expensive. When I bought TPL last year it was around 17, average seems to vary around 23-28. I would want to buy under 20. Be interested to hear if you think this is one good metric to evaluate cheap or expensive stocks. S&P 500 think the average is around EV/EBITDA around 16. From what I can see is you need to check the history of each stock over time to see whats normal or not.
I personally don't use (or use very seldom) any sort of Comparable Company Analysis, so unfortunately I won't be of great help here. However, that doesn't mean it is a bad way of finding the right companies to invest in. I just feel that predicting future growth through Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) valuation is closer to my way of thinking about companies and fits my character better.
@@BaldInvestor appreciate the response and I'm trying a variety of tools to see what works best for me as I learn. Trying to focus on high compounding stocks that you hold for a long time. Tired of trying to always find the next undervalued instead of evaluating and finding with lots of room for growth and great run company. Keep up the good work.
In Seeking Alpha, I like to see companies with a FCF yield (TTM) above 5%... ... with the FCF yield (FY1) greater than the TTM one 😊
You are incorrect non Horizon Kinetics ownership. Very incorrect.
Looks like they own over 16% of outstanding shares.
The data I used in this case comes from Simply Wall Street. If you have other reliable sources that point otherwise I would be very interested to take a look at them.
@@BaldInvestor Tikr shows Horizon Kinetics 16.43% as of 5/14/24 and Simply Wallstreet shows Horizon Kinetics owns 4.72% as 5/9/24. Yahoo Finance says 16.43% as of 3/9/24. Interesting about Simply WallStreet it seems like its off.
Thanks for sharing that. I think you are right, it does look like it is actually 16%. Thanks for clarifying it. And sorry for the mistake.
@@BaldInvestor another shows 18+% . It’s convoluted, but it’s still high and Stahl will keep buying.
I'm really glad you made a video on TPL! I'm a huge fan of this company and started a small position last year. It seems a lot of its income is reliant on the price and production of oil in the Permian Basin. While that can mean volatility in the short-term, viewed from the lens of decades, the price of oil goes up and the Permian Basin isn't drying up anytime soon. Also, Occidental is a major player in the area where TPL's land is located, and Buffett's been an eager buyer of OXY in the last few years. There's a lot to like here! My primary concern is the recent lawsuit where Murray Stahl tried to block the stock-split, and ultimately failed. If the member of the board who is buying shares daily disagrees with a decision made by the company, I'm led to think the rationale behind the stock-split may not be in the shareholders' best interest. Nevertheless, TPL looks like a company that can be run by an idiot and still grow. Ultimately, I'm waiting for a margin of safety to appear before I add to my position.
Thank you very much for sharing that. And good luck 🤞
Murray Stahl said he gets along with the board members on many issues just a few minor disagreements. In the end he was fine with the stock split, I don't think agrees with issuing more shares unless there good reason to do it. If I heard him correctly on his quarterly meetings he personally has never sold a share of TPL and has been purchasing it maybe 40 years. Its his largest holding and said that you concentrate investing in your biggest winners and said most people forgot that strategy of investing and get too diversified on lower performing stocks. Hope I summarized his view correctly from listening to the meetings.
Do NKE please! :-)
It is on my list. 👍 Thanks for the idea.
The thing you are missing is that people have been thinking TPL has generally been fairly priced for the last decade, and they were all wrong, and the price reacted by being driven upwards every year. It has somewhat consistently done better than most people thought it would. If a good company with a semi-monopoly is fairly priced, and has had consistently good returns over the long term, you should buy it unless you think their moat will not persist.
Ive just bought last week, in at 53. They are expanding copper production significantly, have a strong iron ore operation and are also the wests largest producer of aluminium which is always in demand. Its a very well run business and whilst the dividend fluctuates it is always considerable. A solid investment for the next decade for dividend investors
You didn't mention the quality of Starbucks's management, are they being realistic about their business? In UK Starbucks stores are refurbished at considerable cost and they end up with less seating, why?
You r not conservative enough. Massive competition across USA with great pricing and offering. They are facing headwinds with no place to go. Perfect storm brewing.
Muslims have boycotted it all over the world and this is the only reason for its price falling...reason being Palestine and its a jewish company.
Just discovered this channel. Great source of knowledge, but it is hard to listen to it without slower than x1.5.
I agree, still overvalued, $CVS is better buy after recent drop.
Starbucks owned by isreal , hundreds of million ppl are nd world no no longer will ever drink again from them
Hi. What do you think about BLNK?
Great video I sold @ 79.50 I had a big position in SBUX.
Why invest in SBUX when you can do a lot better in other stocks.
Really interesting. I did an dcf to but came to totally different prices with the same growth rates. What did you do differently? No terminals? What's the discountrate you used?
Thank you. I use a 10% discount rate and a 2% perpetual growth. I also take into the equation the debt and cash positions. I hope that helps.
In the last few years, there were two occasions during which SBUX price was very low. During Mar. 2020 and Apr 2022. In both these occasions, it bounced back nicely. What I am hearing as some of the problems of SBUX are: 1) throughput time to deliver the drink (Chipotle & Chick-Fil-A are extremely good at this) and 2) their inability to get the food part right. SBUX has a great brand value, which should work in its favor. I found the current price attractive, and therefore I took a very small position in this. I don't spend anymore time on it. I just wait and watch. Unlike others, I want the price to go down significantly. Even if it goes down 50% it doesn't bother me. It is just an opportunity for me to buy more. To put it simply - it is at a price at which it doesn't bother me which way the stock goes. And I generally like these kind of prices.
If u belivie that starbucks is a good company u buy and hold. U should never sit out and wait for the price to drop more than 50% thats some fairytail shit. U Will miss the window to buy
The growing competition is the main challenge. Their main markets for growth are primary tea drinking cultures in Asia, while in US and Europe McDonald's is expanding with drinks only focused stores.
Id be patient for the next few months
One word: competition. At the moment it is a pass. Any chance you could analyze iRobot?
Last time I looked at it, Amazon was going to buy them. But I see that it is off the table. And the stock went way down. Thanks for the idea. I will take a look at it.
@@BaldInvestor exactly. I am probably missing something but they could manage to become profitable again, assuming that they can keep costs under control. Thanks
